Arduro Sustainable Rubber Inc., (the “Company” or “Arduro”) (http://www.arduro.com/) is a clean technology advanced manufacturing company that solves the sustainable materials supply chain needs of automotive tire and rubber component manufacturers through its patented, environmentally friendly, recycling process. Using industrial process waste from tire manufacturers and waste tires from automotive repair shops as its feedstock, Arduro’s chemical process recovers 95% of high-valued materials (shown in highest-lowest value per metric ton): rubber, carbon black, silica, extending oils, and other additives. The efficacy of the process has been independently verified by 3rd party testing facilities. Our mission is to reconnect manufacturers, supply chains, and their waste to solve the economic, societal, and environmental problems created by the current rubber manufacturing system.

The Position
The Company is seeking a talented Cape Breton University student Co-op to join the Company’s existing team to transform recovered waste materials into valuable products. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) the selected candidates will be primarily responsible for assisting/performing research and development experiments in collaboration with research partner Verschuren Centre. Rate of pay to: 27 CAD $

Hours per week: 40 hours

Main Tasks:
• Support Research and Development and related activities
• Document processes and procedures
• Interact and collaborate with R&D colleagues at Dartmouth and Louisville locations. Accelerate innovation, produce results, and assist R&D with product assimilation into production.
• Handling experiments and performing analytical equipment (TGA, FTIR) according to Verschuren Center’s policy
• Monitor and achieve project milestones within the timeline and on budget.
• Partner with Engineering to achieve R &D goals.
