We are currently looking to fill the term position of Co-op Student, Talent Acquisition.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
As the Co-op Student, Talent Acquisition you’ll become an active team member of Emera’s Corporate Talent Acquisition team and your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;
  • Coordinating interviews;
  • Coordinating background checks and references;
  • Creating interview guides;
  • Researching recruitment & campus activities and industry events;
  • Creating engaging social media content and post on platforms such as LinkedIn;
  • Creating and uploading of HR documents to employee files;
  • Represent Emera at (virtual) career fairs and campus recruitment events;
  • Assist with several ad-hoc Talent Acquisition projects as required.

Our Winter term runs from January 4, 2021 until April 23, 2021.

Required competencies:

The preferred student will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, be curious in nature, customer focused and is able to work well in a dynamic team environment. Strong technology and writing skills are required in addition to a strong attention to detail, pro-activeness, and ability to multitask. Students will be entering into their second or third year of studies and enrolled in a co-op program with a focus in HR.

Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint are recommended.
