Job Description

What you’ll be doing

As a student on our Global Investment Banking, Energy, Infrastructure and Transition (“EIT”) team, you will be making a real difference to our clients by helping to provide customized financing and advisory solutions.  With offices located in Canada, the United States, Europe, Asia and Australia, our Global Investment Banking group provides corporate finance advisory services to corporations and institutions through a number of industry and product groups (equity, debt and loan capital markets, risk / hedging solution, etc.). This is a great opportunity to be a part of a group of professionals ranging from Analysts to Managing Directors who are dedicated to advising clients on infrastructure and project finance and mergers and acquisitions.


The Calgary-based Energy, Infrastructure and Transition (“EIT”), Investment Banking office focuses on a broad range of energy and infrastructure clients that operate in the following sectors: oil and gas, pipelines, midstream energy infrastructure, renewable and thermal power, utilities, and energy transition / climate-tech. We support these clients with strategic advice, equity and debt fundraising, and corporate finance advisory services such as mergers and acquisitions. Our landscape is continually evolving and in addition to traditional mandates, we are highly focused on assisting our clients explore opportunities in:

  • Integrating new power sources, such as renewables, into their businesses
  • Capitalizing on new technologies, such as power storage, carbon capture, renewable natural gas and hydrogen
  • Financing infrastructure to deliver Canadian energy, such as liquified natural gas, to global buyers
  • Positioning their businesses for resiliency and investor engagement.

  • You are enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Commerce, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or related.

How you’ll succeed

  • Research and Analytics – You will provide a broad range of analytical, research and presentation preparation support to the team.
  • Project Management – You’ll be assigned to a variety of transactions and advisory projects such as mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, equity and debt financings, strategic advisory/alternatives projects and full capital structure solution projects.
  • Relationship Management – You’ll gain exposure to working with individuals from various groups across the firm and our team approach to executing coverage and financing assignments is designed to provide progressive on the job training.
