HR Operations Intern (16-week term)

AXIS is hiring the next generation of talent! Since Summer 2020, Business Technology Solutions
(BTS) have created opportunities for student employment in our Co-op program and opened pathways to
full- time employment for graduates looking to enter Business and Technology fields. Full-time paid
Co-op positions are available to eligible students every semester in our Halifax office.

• General administration and documentation of HR handbook, policies and programs
• Provide assistance around the employee onboarding and offboarding processes
• Submit day-to-day payroll and HRIS transactions
• Generate regular HR reports using HRIS, summarize data using pivot tables and dashboards
• Assist with the campus recruiting process
• Assist with HR and Operations projects as needed

Skills, Capabilities and Experience:
• Preferred area of study includes but not limited to: Human Resources, Business, or Psychology
• Experience with MS Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Ability to analyze data using Excel
• Results oriented and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Proactive in nature with high level of energy
• Superior customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, to multi-task and prioritize
• Ability to work well with a team as well as independently
• Experience in using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) considered an asset

  • Rate of pay: $20/hour
  • 37.5 hours/ week, with possibility of p/t in the fall
