Determining the best community for you
Sydney
Sydney is the main city center in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality and third largest city in Nova Scotia, housing approximately 30, 000 people. Located about 10KM from campus, the city is rich in people, with a strong cultural connection. As the hub of the CBRM, Sydney has a main shopping district downtown, two shopping centers, restaurants, bars, theatres, a vibrant music scene, public parks and much more.
Glace Bay
Glace Bay is located approximately 12 KM from campus and is home to just under 17,000 people. Historically a mining community, the friendly and kind people are very proud of their history. This safe and welcoming area has all the amenities of a city including a grocery store, live theatre, restaurants, museum, library and so much more.
New Waterford
This urban community is settled along the ocean about 12 KM from campus. With a population of approximately 7000 people, this small and safe town offers many of the amenities of a city making it an inviting place for any student to live.
