Bachelor of Education

In May 2009, Cape Breton University launched its new Bachelor of Education program. This program was previously offered jointly with Memorial University Newfoundland. This unique, 16 month, program offers an elementary and secondary stream, as well as, an aboriginal option. The 16-month delivery allows graduates the important and enormous advantage of entering the classroom a full year sooner than graduates from other institutions.

Teacher Education

Cape Breton University believes strongly in life long learning and continuing education for teachers. For this reason CBU offers a series of innovative learning opportunities designed to enhance, strengthen and increase teacher qualifications.

All of the programs are offered on a part time basis and many of them are offered exclusively online to keep up with your busy lifestyle.

All programs have been certified by the Department of Education, Province of Nova Scotia. for teacher License Reclassification.
