CBU/CBUFA Tentative Agreement Reached

Cape Breton University and the Cape Breton University Faculty Association have reached a tentative agreement. This tentative agreement paves the way for the return to classes for CBU students and comes after one full week of discussions led by the Provincial Conciliation Services Division.
A tentative agreement means that negotiators for both parties have agreed to the terms of a collective agreement. The next step is for this to be agreed upon and ratified by CBUFA members, the Cape Breton University Board of Governors’ approval already having been secured.
The ratification vote is expected to happen quickly. An announcement will be made before classes resume.
