Ready to take the wheel of the future? Join CBU Sustainability in bringing sustainable transportation to campus. With community partners like the Clean Foundation’s Next Ride program, CBRM Transit and CBRM Community Development, we’ll showcase a variety of sustainable transport options available across Cape Breton while giving you the chance to test drive electric vehicles and learn about greener ways to get around.
Students and employees will have the chance to drive electric vehicles, learn about sustainable commuting options and celebrate the installation of CBU’s first on-campus EV charger.
Alongside the test drives, the event will showcase other sustainable transportation options, discuss how to efficiently use the bike rack on CBRM Transit vehicles and highlight efforts to improve connectivity across CBRM. This is your chance to discover practical ways to lower your carbon footprint while making your daily commute around CBRM easier and greener.
For those interested in even more, the Next Ride team will also host their Electric Avenue event at Eltuek Arts Centre in Sydney on Saturday, September 20, from 10:00am–4:00pm.
Test drives will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.
