Call for Applications for McCall MacBain Scholarships

Canadian students (or those with permanent residency or refugee status) and alumni are invited to apply to join the second-ever class of McCall MacBain Scholarships at McGill University for their studies starting in Summer / Fall 2022. The application deadline is September 22, 2021.

What are the McCall MacBain Scholarships?

The McCall MacBain Scholarships are Canada’s first comprehensive leadership scholarships for master’s and second-entry professional undergraduate studies. The McCall MacBain Scholarship includes up to 20 full scholarships, covering tuition and fees, a living stipend of $2,000 per month, mentorship, and leadership development opportunities. There are also 60 other entrance awards of $5,000 or $10,000 each. 

What graduate programs are included in the scholarship program?

Funded graduate programs include:

  • 150+ master’s programs across the faculties of Agriculture and Environment Sciences, Arts, Dentistry, Education, Engineering, Law, Management, Medicine and Health Sciences, Music, and Science
  • Second-entry progressional undergraduate degrees in Dentistry, Law and Medicine. 

What are the qualifications?

If you are a Canadian student that demonstrates character, and has a track record of community engagement, leadership potential, entrepreneurial spirit, academic strength, and intellectual curiosity, we strongly encourage you to apply!

All current students and recent alumni who graduated in 2019 or later from a Canadian public university must earn an endorsement from their institution. After the September 22 deadline, applications are reviewed by CBU for endorsement. This process is initiated automatically. Students do not need to contact the University to ask for it.
