Tracy Lillington

Nursing Practice Educator

Tracy Lillington is a Registered Nurse, born and raised in Neil’s Harbour now living Glace Bay working as a Nursing Practice Educator at CBU. Professionally, she received her B.ScN. from St. Francis Xavier University in 2009 in Antigonish, NS and is presently enrolled in her Master of Nursing degree at Athabasca University. Tracy’s main responsibilities at CBU are to support the undergraduate nursing students and facilitate their learning. She is presently working on a document with Wounds Canada as well as assisting a long-term care facility to implement a wound care program. Overall she has 10 years of nursing experience with a clinical background in surgical and emergency care nursing, education and leadership. Her professional areas of interest include supporting novice nurses’ transition to practice as well as exploring concept-based learning in nursing education. As an educator she wants to explore undergraduate nursing students’ perceptions of their learning.
