Sahand Ashtab

Assistant Professor, Supply Chain Management

Dr. Sahand Ashtab received his doctorate in Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Windsor. He is an Assistant Professor of Supply Chain Management in the Shannon School of Business at Cape Breton University, and has taught Supply Chain Management, Transportation and Logistics, Procurement and Supply Chain Management in both undergraduate and graduate levels, and Computers in Business in the undergraduate level. Prior to joining Cape Breton University, he was a sessional instructor at the Odette School of Business at the University of Windsor and a research associate at the Cross Border Institute. Dr. Ashtab has been involved in several applied research projects, and he is a co-winner of the 2013 CORS (Canadian Operational Research Society) Practice Prize. His research areas are supply chain management and operations research, and he has obtained funding for projects on Circular Economy in the province of Nova Scotia, Canada.
