Odette Griscti

Associate Professor, Nursing

Dr Odette Griscti is as Associate Professor in Nursing. Her teaching career spans over 25 years. She started teaching at undergraduate level at the University of Malta in 1992 and joined Cape Breton University in 2001. Dr Griscti graduated with an Honors Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a master’s degree in Nursing Education from the University of Malta and earned her doctorate in Nursing degree from Dalhousie University. Her research interests focus on feminist post-structuralism, Foucault and power relations between health care professionals and patients. Other research areas of interest include humanistic approaches to nursing education, and how to create a conducive learning environment for nursing students.
