Melissa Deane received her degree in Electrical Engineering with Computer Option from Dalhousie University, having completed the first two years here at Cape Breton University. She has close to 15 years of industry experience including programming, wireline logging in the Petroleum Industry, electrical design with a consulting firm and the majority of her experience managing distribution capital projects in the utility industry here in Nova Scotia. Melissa has a keen interest in incorporating her experience into her teaching, with an emphasis on industry safety and practical examples.
