Judy Rolls

Professor, Communication

Dr. Judith A. Rolls is a Professor of Communication. She earned a BA from St. Francis Xavier University, BEd from Dalhousie University, MA (Speech Communication) from the University of Maine, and PhD (Speech Communication) from Indiana University. Dr. Rolls teaches courses that focus on face-to-face communication across contexts such as interpersonal communication, public speaking, gender communication, facilitation and design, persuasion, and communication and sexuality. Her research focuses mainly on communication pedagogy. Her most recent project is the 4th Canadian Edition of LOOK (Adler, Rolls, and Proctor II), an interpersonal communication text. She has also been active as a communication consultant and trainer, and was the recipient of the Cape Breton University Educational Leadership award in 2006.
