Jasmine Alam, Associate Professor, Academic Director

Jasmine Alam teaches Entrepreneurship and Strategy at the Shannon School of Business as an Associate Professor. She also serves as the Academic Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre.

Dr. Alam holds a PhD in Economics and Management (University of New Brunswick), Master’s degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and University of London and a BA from Carleton University. Previous to joining academia, Dr. Alam worked for the Government of Canada and the private sector.

With a strong interest in social entrepreneurship, Dr. Alam works with start-ups focused on social change and is an Expert in Residence at the Innovation Cluster in Ontario as well as a member of the Wharton Venture Lab.

Dr. Alam’s research areas include micro-finance, B Corporations and Corporate Social Responsibility.
