David Johnson

David Johnson has been teaching at CBU since 1993. Originally from Toronto, Dr. Johnson has his Ph.D. from the University of Toronto where he studies Canadian Government and Politics and Canadian Public Administration. He wrote his thesis on accountability in government. His research fields are Canadian Government and Politics, Canadian Public Administration and Public Policy, and the Canadian Constitution. He has written three books, with Thinking Government, a leading textbook in Canadian Public Administration, soon to be entering its 5th edition in 2020. Dr, Johnson has numerous academic articles and conference presentations to his credit. He also writes a regular column in the Cape Breton Post and is a frequent guest analyst on ATV News.
