Dana Mount

Dr. Dana C. Mount is the Associate Dean of Research and Graduate Studies at CBU. In that role, she works closely with Associate Vice-President, Research and Academic, Dr. Tanya Brann-Barrett, on a number of key and special initiatives in the Office. In this role she oversees work on research ethics, and assists with institutional projects. Dr. Mount is also Associate Professor of English where she researches and teaches in the areas of Environmental Humanities and Postcolonial Studies. In addition, Dr. Mount is the Co-Director of the Bachelor of Arts and Science in Environment (BASE). Working with her colleague and Co-Director Dr. Deanne Van Rooyen, she oversees the functioning of the program, develops content for the courses, and mentors and teaches BASE students. Overall, the passions that drive Dr. Mount’s work include a curiosity about contemporary culture, a love of world literature, a commitment to environmental issues, and a belief in social justice.
