Angela Woods

Originally from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Angela is a former Indigenous Lead, Land-Based Learning Coordinator and school administrator, who taught in both the public school system and in a sovereign eduction school. She recently has taken a new role with the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, in Fort McMurray, Alberta as the Reconciliation Advisor. Angela has a Masters of Education in Administration and Policy with a focus on Indigenous Education from St. Francis Xaiver University of Nova Scotia. Her education background focuses on two-eyed seeing and how to integrate Indigenous education into daily practices of the classroom by connecting curriculum with land-based learning.
