About the Job
Duties include:
- Develop and execute social media strategies to enhance SS&T’s online presence and engagement
- Create engaging, relevant, and shareable content across platforms including X, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook
- Attend and monitor SS&T on‑campus events to capture and post timely social media content
- Monitor social media channels to identify relevant content, trends, and engagement opportunities Manage content creation, scheduling, and posting across SS&T social media accounts
- Design, create, and manage the SS&T newsletter, ensuring consistent branding and clear communication
Qualifications
- Current CBU student with strong organizational and time‑management skills Excellent written and oral communication abilities
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in team environments
- Strong understanding of major social media platforms, including Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, and LinkedIn
- Experience creating engaging social media content (captions, posts, memes, and videos)
- Digital graphic design skills for social media and event promotion considered an asset
- Exceptional attention to detail in content creation and brand consistency
Students must be enrolled full time and in good academic standing at Cape Breton University in order to participate in the Work Study program.
