About the Job
The Student Event Assistant will support the planning, coordination, and execution of various events and activities at Cape Breton University. This role involves assisting with event logistics, setup and teardown, managing registration, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring smooth operations during events. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and execution of events, including meetings, workshops, special events and social gatherings.
- Help with the preparation of event materials, signage, and supplies. Support event registration and check-in processes.
- Provide on-site assistance during events, ensuring all aspects run smoothly.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Previous experience in event planning or customer service is an asset.
Eligibility
Enrolled full time at Cape Breton University and in good academic standing.
