About the Job
A sustainable chemistry student coordinator will help educate the public, faculty, students, and the local Cape Breton community about green (sustainable) chemistry principles to encourage environmentally responsible practices.
The role combines expertise in chemistry with strong communication and project management skills to foster community engagement and create a positive environmental impact. This will include working with the Sustainable Chemistry subcommittee in the Department of Chemistry.
The successful applicant will be engaged in sustainable chemistry education and promotion through social media channels, as well as plan a green chemistry outreach event. The successful candidate will also become a My Green Labs ambassador as part of the position.
Requirements/Qualifications
Upper level (3rd or 4th year) BSc Chemistry student is preferred for the position but that the application is open to all students with a chemistry background.
Eligibility
Must be enrolled full time at Cape Breton University and in good academic standing. This is a part-time employment opportunity.
