Lead Student Navigator (Co-op)

CBU’s Student Affairs department is hiring a Lead Student Navigator for the Winter 2026 semester. Student Navigators work closely with students and staff to provide advising, registration, and online support to new and current CBU students. The Lead Student Navigator will support the work and projects of the Student Affairs team and provide students with information on CBU’s services and resources to ensure they are empowered with access to this knowledge throughout their time at CBU.

This will be a full-time position for a CBU student fulfilling co-op requirements. Training for this position will begin the week of January 5, 2026.

Requirements:

  • Must be registered in a relevant co-op program
  • Must be in good academic standing
  • Must be in good standing according to CBU’s Student Code of Conduct
  • Experience in student leadership will be considered an asset

The Lead Student Navigator:

  • Is the lead contact for a team of students and liaises between Student Affairs staff and the Student Navigator team.
  • Is the primary contact for scheduling and collection of payroll timesheets for the Student Navigator team.
  • Works independently and as part of the Student Affairs team.
  • Greets incoming students and keep appointments operating smoothly.
  • Supports the transition of new students to the CBU campus community.
  • Helps students schedule advising appointments and access follow-up registration support
  • Hosts registration support sessions (online and in person).
  • Maintains ongoing communication with students, staff, and faculty.
  • Teaches students how to understand the timetable to create a class schedule.
  • Teaches students to navigate the CBU website, access their CBU email, access their student accounts, and complete their registration.
  • Answers email and in-person inquiries.
  • Completes a variety of organizational tasks.
  • Connects students to Student Development Officers and help students navigate student support resources at CBU.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.
