Job Description

The Woodlands and Sawmill division are currently sourcing a motivated student to be part of our Human Resources team for the summer term (May-August) 2026. As a HR student you will be responsible for a variety of administrative and HR related activities that will give you an opportunity to gain valuable, hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with a divisional improvement project to enhance onboarding and training by position, including job description and training standardization, new employee onboarding portal and Learning Management System.
  • Work collaboratively with team members from various departments on a variety of ad hoc requests
  • Assist with other HR related duties that arise
  • Lead and complete special projects
  • Various administrative tasks

Qualifications

  • Education Required: Business Administration/HR students available for Co-op or Winter work term and in good academic standing
  • Years of Experience Required: <2 years
  • Self-starter, attention to detail, punctual, consistent, and flexible to changing tasks
  • Goal oriented, demonstrate initiative, and enjoy working in a team environment
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with excellent typing abilities
