Title: Junior Logistics Coordinator

Reports to: General Manager, Operations

Job Summary

The main responsibility of the Junior LC is to assist the logistics team in completing documentation and keeping customers informed of updated information. This is a great opportunity to get to know the ins and outs of freight forwarding.

 

Main Responsibilities

• Enter export shipment details into US and Canadian customs software platforms.
• Ensure all required documentation, such as bill of lading or any other customs documents, shipping instructions, proof of delivery are accurate to the best of your ability and submitted in a timely manner.
• Keep records of export shipments such as documentation, communications, and financial transactions.
• Update customers on the status of their shipments, address any inquiries & resolve any issues.

 

Qualifications:

• Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional languages an asset.
• Post-secondary education degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or equivalent in a similar field.
• Some experience in documentation in international logistics or freight forwarding is an asset

 

Skills & Knowledge:

• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable with using a computer.
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Customer service oriented

 

Working Conditions:

• Working in an office setting, on a computer
• Environment temperature controlled.
