CO-OP SPRING/SUMMER 2026: Accounting Co-op Student

Position Title: Accounting Co-op Student
Term: May – August 2026
Location: New Minas, NS

Overview:

We are a CPA firm in New Minas, Nova Scotia that works directly with owner-managers and personal income
tax clients to address their business, estate, tax planning, accounting, and advisory needs.
As part of our firm, you will develop your professional accounting career while receiving mentorship from our
team of partners, staff and students. As a co-op student you will be exposed to the day-to-day operations of
a public accounting practice including communicating and interacting with staff and clients, assisting on
projects. There may be some personal tax preparation but there is less focus on personal tax preparation
than in Winter terms.

If you are highly motivated and love to work in a deadline driven environment this is the place for you.

The successful candidate must be:
–  interested in the field of accounting
–  proficient with computers and software including Microsoft (word, excel, outlook).
–  in their second or later year of university.

To be considered for this position you will have:
– A positive attitude and a strong desire to learn.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
– The ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
– Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel.
– Be able to learn and work unsupervised.
– Experience working in an accounting firm would be considered an asset.
