Build Nova Scotia is seeking a finance student for the summer of 2026. Working closely with the department’s staff responsible for accounting and finance, the student will gain practical experience and knowledge of working in a provincial government accounting and finance environment.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in an accounting or finance program and returning to school in fall 2026. Students enrolled in other post-secondary programs are also encouraged to apply. Candidates should possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, display strong organizational and analytical skills, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and database programs is required.
Knowledge of online meeting platforms such as MS Teams and Zoom is also an asset.

Working Conditions:
Sydney, NS will be the location of work.
Normal work week is 35 hours/week, 7 hours/day.
Work is conducted in a professional office environment.
Additional Information:
This opportunity will start approximately early May 2026 and end late August 2026.
Rate of pay for students is established based on current academic level.
