What is an embedded certificate?
An embedded certificate at Cape Breton University represents the opportunity for students to enhance and expand their learning opportunities during their studies in taking a specified subset of courses to grant an additional credential.
How many credits is an embedded certificate?
It is a credential comprised of 12-18 credits of coursework completed in conjunction with an eligible degree program, some may require additional experiential pieces.
Can you complete an embedded certificate on its own?
No. All required certificate courses must be completed at the time of graduation from your eligible degree program.
Will my certificate be recognized upon graduation?
Yes. Completed embedded certificates will be noted on the student transcript.
Certificates are open to all undergraduate students in any program.
