Cape Breton University is undergoing a transformation. In addition to exciting projects like the Centre for Discovery and Innovation, Canada Games Complex, Nancy Dingwall Health and Counselling Centre, Cape Breton Medical Campus and the Dome, there are also a number of ongoing construction projects happening throughout campus, including:

- Capers High Performance Strength and Conditioning Centre Temporary Location (Former Subway)
- Marvin Harvey Brick Reinforcement Project
- Marvin Harvey Roof Replacement
- Sports Dome
In Progress
- Canada Games Complex – demolition is almost complete and work is ongoing according to project schedule
- Boardmore Theatre Washroom and A Wing Pedway Washroom Renovation – to be complete late October/early November
- Phase 1 Campus Expansion (CE) Roof Replacement – started and will continue into early January
- Playhouse Parking Lot Expansion (Parking Lot 5) – to be complete by end of 2023
