Wanda Robson Scholarship

Application closes November 9th, 2025

There are 12 in-course awards valued at $3,500 each available to returning students. To be eligible, students must:

– Identify as African Nova Scotian, or
– Be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident of African descent, residing in Nova Scotia, who attended high school in Nova Scotia
– Be enrolled part-time or full-time in an undergraduate or post-graduate program
– Have a minimum average of 70% in the previous 2024-2025 academic year

For students that do not meet the 70% average requirement: you will be eligible if you exhibit exceptional leadership qualities, as well as academic growth and progress.

There are 7 entrance awards valued at $1,500 each available to first-year students. To be eligible, students must:

– Identify as African Nova Scotian, or
– Be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident of African descent, residing in Nova Scotia, and attended high school in Nova Scotia
– Be enrolled part-time or full-time in an undergraduate or post-graduate program

Evaluation will be based on students’ most recent high school performance; or exceptional leadership qualities and academic growth and progress.

– Provide a 500-word essay outlining you leadership qualities, community involvement, student activities or athletics, professional goals, and how the scholarship will support your academic and personal development
