World Tourism Conference 2021 (POSTPONED)

About the World Tourism Conference

Please note: Although the World Tourism Conference 2021 is postponed due to COVID-19, the WTI looks forward to hosting our guests when time allows.

The World Tourism Conference will focus on the thematic framework of Sustainability, Smart Tourism and Indigenous Cultural Tourism. The conference will welcome paper and poster submissions from academics, researchers, policymakers, government, consultants, students and industry practitioners. Non-presenting participants are also welcome.

Along with presentations and networking opportunities, the World Tourism Conference will also offer world-class destination experiences as part of the conference’s agenda. Events will be hosted in numerous sites around Cape Breton Island, including the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site, The Port of Sydney, Cape Breton University, Cape Breton Highlands National Park and Eskasoni First Nation.

Pre- and post-conference experiences will also be organized for participants, as well as a companion program for conference participants with accompanying family or friends.

We look forward to a productive exchange and sharing of experiences, plus research results on all aspects of Tourism and Hospitality Management. This conference is a premier platform for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, challenges and solutions adopted in the tourism sector.
