Student bystander training will take place from Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday at 5pm in the Multipurpose room. Please sign up early, as each class is capped at 25.
Monday – Consent Culture
Join members of CBU, CBU Student’s Union Women’s Centre and Willow House Community Outreach Sexual Assault Program to learn what consent is, why it’s critical in all sexual situations and how we can work together to create a community where consent and conversations around it are normalized.
Tuesday – Emergency Response and Preparedness
Would you know how to safely react in an emergency situation? Meet members of the Campus Security Team and learn how to to best be prepared in a potential crisis. And don’t forget to sign up for CBU Alert!
Wednesday – Mental Health Awareness
Your mental health is equally as important as your physical health, and should be treated as such. Join mental health advocate and CBU alumnus Todd Leader in a mental health awareness coffee house presented by the Psychology Society to lend your voice to the conversation.
Thursday – Harm Reduction: Alcohol and Opioid Awareness
Join us on Thursday to learn more about safe alcohol consumption and discuss the dangers of opioid use. Learn what to do and how to react in a potentially dangerous situation.
Friday – Staff and Faculty Narcan and Bystander Training
Staff and faculty are invited to participate in Narcan and Bystander Training. A morning and afternoon session will be offered, but sessions are being capped at 25 participants, so please sign up early!
