Support services from the Office of the Registrar
The goal of the Office of the Registrar is to provide students with a variety of services to support their learning and personal needs and to ensure students thrive both intellectually and socially during their time at CBU.
Students are encouraged to get involved, take advantage of the outstanding services and contribute to the university community. It is the hope of the Office of the Registrar that students grow academically, socially and culturally while at Cape Breton University.
In addition, the Registrar is the University’s chief record keeper and overseer of the academic regulations. The department is responsible for the creation, maintenance, and safeguarding of all student records. Admissions, registrations, recording of course outcomes, and verification and issuing of credentials occurs under the Registrar’s supervision.
Located in the Marvin Harvey Building (campus map) the department is also responsible for:
- the publication of the Academic Calendar
- the university examination process; and
- the awarding of scholarships and bursaries
