Lil’ Critters

The CBU Lil’ Critters camp will expose campers to a wide variety of themed days and activities, aimed at encouraging them to use their imagination! They will explore themes such as nature, under the sea, sports, superheroes, and pirates. Campers will be engaged in both indoor and outdoor activities, including a combination of craft projects, educational games, and physical activities.

The Lil’ Critters camp will have children exploring the many exciting areas of campus. They will enjoy diverse activities, both indoors and outdoors. Rest, play, and healthy snacks will help support young minds, and creative themes and activities will keep them engaged. Children will receive the benefit of individualized care and fun, thanks to a 1:5 staff to camper ratio. Parents can rest assured that our student staff is friendly, well-trained, energetic, and ready to facilitate a week of fun!

Discovery Camp

The CBU Discovery camp will encourage campers to ask questions and explore the world around them. The science-based curriculum will involve themes such as robotics, nature, health sciences, and chemistry. The week will end with a mystery that campers will solve using skills they learn. Campers will have the chance to explore some of CBU’s lab spaces and other great facilities!

This camp is designed to strengthen an interest in the sciences and technology, and to encourage curiosity and exploration. CBU Staff and Faculty will assist camp leaders in providing educational and fun lessons, labs, and experiments. Campers will spend time in classrooms, laboratories, and outdoors, in the trails surrounding CBU. This camp will include everything from chemistry experiments, to robotics lessons, and even rocket launching!

Creative Cape Bretoners Arts & Culture Camp

Through the Creative Cape Bretoners Camp, children will discover the many art forms associated with the heritage of the place they call home. Campers will experience a fiddle and step dancing performance- and even get to learn some steps! They will have the opportunity to learn some Gaelic, Mi’kmaq and some French, and produce art projects inspired by the rich culture of Acadian, Gaelic and Mi’kmaq people.

Join us as we explore our rich and diverse history and culture. Campers will have the chance to discover new abilities, learn about our beautiful island, and develop their artistic skills. We will be joined by local artists, including a skilled musician and dancer, and members of Unama’ki College. Campers will get to create their own art projects each day, reflecting the various cultures they are immersed in.

FUN-damentals Rec Camp

The CBU FUN-damentals Rec Camp will offer campers the chance to try a variety of different sports and other recreational activities. They will have the chance to use some of the great facilities that CBU has to offer, and will get to build their skills in many different activities, including soccer, basketball, and much more! All skill levels are welcome, and everyone will have the chance to learn something new!

Campers will be exposed to a number of different sports and activities. New recreational activities will be introduced every day to help ensure that the experience is diverse, and that everybody has a chance to try something new! Not only will campers get to try these sports and activities, but they will also have the opportunity to utilize several of the great facilities that CBU has to offer. Campers will also be joined by members of the Capers Athletics family.

Capers Basketball Camps

The CAPERS Basketball Camps aim to develop individual skills, provide our campers with new skills, information and modern techniques, as well as building team concepts through games and scrimmages. Last, but not least, campers are here to have FUN!
