Brief Job Description:
To establish a warm, welcoming atmosphere in the ISSAC, advise students on CBU supports and resources, assist with event planning and implementation, provide social media support for international students, provide support for International Student Advisors, answer general questions regarding study permits, work permits, visa applications, MSI and other health insurance policies, organize small student led activities, provide research as required, and facilitate meetings with international students on campus. Student will also be required to assist with communication plan for new students starting at CBU in January 2018. The success full candidate will also make sure forms for applications are available, update Twitter and Facebook accounts, day to day office activities like picking up the mail, organizing meetings, assisting students, etc.
Qualifications: Upper year student in any program
Duties/Responsibilities: International Student Centre Support Officer will assist all CBU students that come into the Centre and be able to answer basic questions or can redirect student to appropriate staff member. They will aid in event preparation and delivery, monitor and respond to email requests; other duties as assigned

8 weeks at 30 hours per week
Current Cape Breton University Students who will be returning to studies September 2019 are eligible to apply for the Work Study program.
