Education Students with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or equivalent*) from a Canadian university or Canadian equivalency, a cumulative average of B+ or higher, and pursuing a CPA designation with a public accounting licence
Students who successfully completed the CPA Canada Common Final Examination (CFE), in a assurance role OR Students who successfully completed the CPA Canada Uniform Final Examination (UFE) *The equivalent is defined of Commerce, of Management, of Economics
the successful completion of the preparatory courses recognized by CPA provincial bodies for admission to the Professional Education Program (PEP) *Candidates with foreign educational credentials are responsible for providing proof of Canadian equivalency. OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must be able to work as a member of a team in Halifax and be willing to travel within Canada.
As a trainee you will report to a director and will benefit from continued mentoring by an audit supervisor. You will be part of a financial audit team in Halifax that is responsible for audits of federal departments and Crown corporations. You will participate in the planning, examination and reporting phases on different audits. Occasionally, you might participate in performance audits and special examinations. You must be willing to travel and experience all parts of the country, from coast to coast, north to south.

The covering letter will be used as the primary tool in the screening process and the resume will only be used to substantiate the information provided. One suitable approach for your covering letter is to use each individual screening criterion as a header and then, for each criterion, write one or two paragraphs demonstrating how you meet that criterion.
