Education and Experience
Bachelor in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline
At least 2 years of Human Resources work experience
A combination of equivalent education, job-related training, and work experience in a related position.
Strong knowledge and experience in recruitment processes and diversity and inclusion strategies and initiatives
- Broad knowledge of progressive human resources practices and trends
- Understanding of human resources regulations
- Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, analytical and time management skills
- Demonstrated research experience
- Proficient computer skills – Microsoft Office
Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation
- Experience delivering human resources support in a unionized environment

Marine Atlantic is currently looking for Human Resources Generalists to work with our Human Resources department located in North Sydney, NS. These positions are for a one year term.
The Human Resources Generalist assists the Human Resources, Labour Relations and Organizational Effectiveness teams in reaching their goal of providing quality Human Resources services to the Corporation. The incumbent assists with recruitment, selection, succession planning/workforce planning, diversity and inclusion strategies and initiatives, policy development and other relevant human resources initiatives. The Human Resources Generalist also performs research and works on human resources projects as assigned.
