CBU Work Study Bursary Program – Research Assistant – Job Number 2015F025



Job/Project Description: The Research Assistant will provide research support to Dr. Michelle Jetha, Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology.  The Research Assistant will provide assistance for various experimental-based research projects in the area of personality and emotion regulation.



Tasks and Responsibilities: The research assistant will be assigned tasks including but not limited to:

-recruiting, scheduling, and running research participants

-data scoring and processing

-data analysis

-other duties as assigned


Student Qualifications:

 -Prefer upper level student who has taken psychology courses

-demonstrated computer literacy, familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

-ability to work independently

-ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

-problem solving skills

-attentive to detail, with the ability to work quickly and accurately

Start Date:  Mid-September

End Date:  Mid-December (with potential to continue until April)

Hours:  All positions are part time, hours TBD
