Title: Organization Management Project Assistant

The successful candidate would provide research and project assistance to the community-based research projects in which the supervisor is engaged (dealing with affordable housing and homelessness). Much of the work would take place on campus (in the community-engaged research lab lead by the applicant); however, the student would sometimes be asked to attend project meetings held by the Affordable Housing and Homelessness Working Group (currently held in downtown Sydney, by the Dorchester bus stop). Student office space would be available for the successful candidate.
Qualifications: Some basic knowledge of the research process is required, including how to conduct literature searches and how to work with spreadsheets. Candidates must also have strong organizational skills
- Literature searching
- Data cleaning
- Some meeting co-ordination
- Attendance at most working group meetings is required
Hours: All positions are part-time, hours TBD
- The student will learn about partnered (community-based) research.
- The student would develop skills in searching and synthesizing academic and grey literatures as well as data management.
- The student would learn about the work of non-profit organizations in the community.
