Job Title: Campus Recreation Manager

Athletics and Student Life Services encompasses the Field House & CBHRC Dome Athletic Facilities, varsity athletics, intramurals and clubs. Reporting to the Coordinator: Varsity Athletics & Recreation, the incumbent will develop and implement recreational programs and project initiatives to enrich the student experience and maintain an integrated approach to support student recreation and wellness programs.

Students from any academic background are encouraged to apply. Looking for students with 1-3 years relevant experience working in Recreation with special event management. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with a proven ability to multi-task effectively are required. The successful candidate will be experienced in supervising student staff, a self-starter with strong administration experience and possess the ability to work independently, but thrive in a team environment. Required to have, or willing to obtain, Standard First Aid certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and organize over 17 intramural and club sport leagues and tournaments.
  • Manage program promotion and delivery, facility bookings, equipment inventory, participation tracking, assist with reporting and evaluation of offerings, and some onsite-supervision of events.
  • Administer bi-weekly student payroll and provide mentorship and guidance to student staff; Varsity Athletic Coordinator with recruitment and training of staff.
  • Coordinate administrative functions related to clubs, intramurals and camps including facility bookings & social media administration
