CBU invites applications for the full-time term (approx. 4 months) position of Data Collection Assistant.
The successful candidate will join the Purdy Crawford Chair team to achieve specific goals under a MOOC development project, which will include conducting library/database research and researching/compiling an inventory of existing learning objects and resources at CBU. Candidates with Aboriginal Heritage are preferred.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: The Data Collection Assistant will join the Chair team to achieve specific goals under a MOOC development project.
Conduct library/database research to prepare bibliographies of academic resources.
Edit PowerPoint presentations and other text-based content for use in online courses.
Research and compile an inventory of existing learning objects and resources at CBU.
Index learning objects using a database.
Compile relevant open access resources (YouTube videos, podcasts, webinars, etc.).
Identify relevant business case studies for inclusion in courses.
Conduct one-on-one interviews to produce video recordings.
Complete paperwork (consent, release, etc.) required for interviews.
Film interviews with cameras/camcorders.
Work with lighting and sound equipment.
Help with setup and tear down of documentation equipment.
Edit video to produce learning objects.
Other related tasks.
