The Social Media & Community Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for the creation of a social media marketing strategy and communication plan for the promotion of CBU EDventure Camps.


Demonstrated interest in social media communication and community outreach.  Demonstrated academic skills and research interests related to camp curriculum.
 Strong educational, environmental and recreation skills and experience with children ages 4-17. Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills with groups.
 Ability to work in a team, and a demonstrated ability to be self-directed and work independently. Problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to work in a demanding environment.
 Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information about children.


This position will offer experience in creating content for regular posts on various social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram as well as gain experience in managing a social media-posting schedule.  This position will monitor social media analytics and create reports when requested. The Social Media & Community Engagement Coordinator will also be responsible to assist with camp registration, providing pre-camp communication and assisting in camp curriculum delivery.

The Curriculum Development & Program Coordinator will report to the Student Life & Community Engagement Officer. The CBU Summer Camp Program is currently revising camp curriculum and includes Tech Camp, Science Camp, Theatre Camp, Lil Critters Pre-School Camp and a variety of Sports Camps.

Wages/Hours per Week:     $15/hr             35hrs/wk

Start Date: May 16, 2016    End Date: August 26, 2016
