The Policy and Regulatory Strategies Directorate (PRSD) provides Health Canada’s Regulatory Operations and Regions Branch with strategic direction on legislative and regulatory initiatives and underpins the compliance and enforcement function through program policy and continuous learning. It also addresses operational gaps across Health Canada’s compliance and enforcement programs, including risks to the health and safety of inspectors. As part of PRSD’s Program Development and Training Division, student responsibilities/tasks include the following:

  • Conduct literature reviews and Web/Intranet searches
  • Participate in and support consultations on Compliance and Enforcement
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize information
  • Prepare synthesis and recommendation reports and presentations using Microsoft Office suite
  • Provide support to Occupational Health and Safety Manager
  • Participate in team meetings
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
