Position Summary

The 2018 Season Coordinator assists the Executive Director with all details pertaining to the Museum’s 2018 season’s events. It is of upmost importance that the Museum, its mission and programs are consistently and accurately presented in a strong, positive image to relevant stakeholders and the community at large.

The 2018 Season Coordinator reports to the Executive Director

Qualifications

  • Competence with social media applications i.e. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram etc
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Capable of working within a team environment
  • Great organizational skills
  • Above average problem solving skills
  • Ability to deal with people of all ages and capabilities

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Executive Director to implement an eventplan for the Museum
  • Assists the Executive Director to develop strategies for achieving the Museum’s programming goals
  • Participates in staff/volunteer meetings and planning sessions
  • Explores new opportunities that could complement the Museum’s programming
  • Assists the Executive Director to collect and analyze evaluation information that measures the success of the organization’s programming efforts
  • Is part of a staff team that promotes a culture that reflects the organization’s values
  • Ensures Executive Director has a monthly report on the initiatives the Coordinator has been working on and what progress has been made
  • Supports the Executive Director by providing data and stats for various initiatives and strategies
  • Under the Executive Director supervision, the Coordinator manages his or her initiatives within the organizations’ budget guidelines

Hours per week: 35 hrs/week

Rate of pay: $15.00/hr
