CBU CO-OP ONLY – Sports Marketing and Product Coordinator, Covers Media Group


Start/End Dates – April 23rd 2018 – August 24th, 2018
Hourly Wage – Minimum of $15/hour
Hours – 37.5 hrs/week 
Work Location – 211 Horseshoe Lake Dr., Halifax, Nova Scotia 
Program of Study – Business/Business Admin/Commerce/Management
Supervisor – Luke Evans, Digital Media Manager 
The Digital Marketing & Product Co-op should have a strong interest in digital sports products, marketing and exhibit creativity and self-motivation. The ideal candidate will enjoy using digital marketing platforms and tools and assist in the effective execution through product delivery of web/app based sports products.
  • 2+ year students working toward a degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Commerce, and Marketing with an interest in digital media and/or sports.
  • Experience with email marketing automation (e.g. Hubspot etc.), CRM, web analytics, excel, email marketing solutions considered an asset.
  •  An individual that with attention to detail, is an organized self-starter that can handle a variety of tasks.
  • Demonstrates an interest in the digital publishing and/or web publishing landscape.
  • Previous internship or part-time work preferred, not necessary. 

    Work Term Outcome:
  • Strategy document built around search engine optimization focusing on personal voice assistants.
  • Build out a social strategy document as it relates to our CRM platform and our user persona profiles.
  • Complete detailed report on user patterns including; unusual traffic patterns and identify reasons for sudden shifts, conversion path routes that users take from first action to conversion, traffic trends for month over month and year over year, complete analytics dashboard.


  • Assist with Search Engine Marketing strategies and execution
  • Work with our Graphical Designers to deliver great promotional products
  • Work with multiple groups on completing projects on schedule
  • Assist with online reporting, analysis, website optimization
  • Assist in the creation of new targeted social media strategies
  • Complete all required training applicable to assigned position.
