Position Overview:
- A Public Area Attendant with Cabot ensures that all public areas of the resort are kept clean and tidy.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience an asset
- High school diploma and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred
- Positive attitude and excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
- Ability to balance a variety of conflicting priorities while providing guest service
- Ability to work flexible hours – weekends and evenings as required
Physical Demands:
- Ability to spend long hours moving around, walking, sitting, standing, kneeling
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and /or up to 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
- Occasional ascending or descending, stairs and ramps
Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities & Duties:
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Clean public restrooms and replenish products
- Vacuum, sweep, mop and floors in Cabot public areas and offices
- Wipe and dust all surfaces in Cabot public areas and offices
- Clean all mirrors and inside of windows as per schedule
- Maintain cleanliness of ice machines on-site
- Restock facecloths at Front Desk and in Panorama bathrooms
- Thoroughly clean all guest room doors and ensure cleanliness of corridors
- Empty trash in all public areas
- Ensure all cigarette butts are picked up and disposed in designated areas
- Remove gum, wall spots, and floor spots with appropriate chemicals
- Return all lost and found articles to the Front Desk
- Deliver and retrieve items on loan to guest rooms (e.g. Ice buckets)
- Perform rotational cleaning duties including steam cleaning carpets as required
- Ensure amenities and linen closets are clean and tidy for inspection and up to standard for safety
- Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Complete assignment sheet and log book for every shift
- Report to Front Desk at the completion of evening shifts
- Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
- Report necessary repair items to Maintenance department
- Comply with proper security, fire regulation, and all health and safety policies
- Other duties as assigned by management
