Skills, Capabilities and Experience: The successful incumbent must be enrolled in a co-op program at a post-secondary institution with a focus in Business, Environmental Resources or equivalent. The candidate must be skilled in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. Intermediate project management skills and analytical skills are also required.

Reports to: Manager, Strategic Initiatives

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

Accountabilities: The successful student will be expected to conduct market research on various new technologies that emerge in the NS market. They will also be responsible for identifying pilot opportunities with location communities. Upon completion of the work term, the candidate will have developed an overview of an emerging technology (technical aspect, market penetration, customer trends and forecast of product uptake) and completed an analysis of existing customer data and recommend how to tap into specific customer segments.
