We pay employees direct deposit bi weekly (twice per month) with all of the necessary deductions. You must provide a void check or a letter from your bank as we only pay direct deposit.
Each position has either an incentive bonus or gratuities that are held in trust by the company until the end of your contract date. If you quit before your contract end date, you forfeit your tips/bonus and they are given to charity. The reason that we hold your bonus or tips is because we are a seasonal business and require a commitment from our staff to stay until the end of their contract date. If staff decide to quit in the middle of our season, it is very difficult for us to fill these positions. If you have questions about this policy please ask! We like to have complete transparency with our staff!
The Bayshore Inn Resort & Spa is a seasonal resort that is open May 3rd to October 15th. We are flexible on our start dates and they can range from April 20th to June 20th, however all contracts can end no earlier than after the Labor Day long weekend in September. All schools start after this date. There are only a few spots for September end dates as most contracts must end at the end of our season in October.
All of our staff work six days on with one day off per week. We try to ensure at least 44 hours per week and are happy to provide extra hours for any staff members that want to help out in other departments.
Staff Dorm Accommodation – We house over 85 staff in house, we charge $12 per day rent which includes shared accommodations and we also provide three meals a day at no charge in an employee staff dining room.
All of our staff live in dorm type accommodations. You will be sharing a room with another person with a communal area and a shared bathroom down the hall. We do not have cooking facilities available in our dorms, only fridges and microwaves. Please keep in mind that the Chef tries his best to provide meals that suit everybody’s tastes and cannot accommodate special diets, like gluten free or vegetarian diets.
We also have two houses that we rent for $250 per month for shared accommodations but do not include the meal plan as they have full kitchens, so you can cook your own meals. We are happy to provide a 30% discount for all employees to purchase food from any of our restaurants.
All of our departments have uniform requirements. You will need to ensure that you come with the proper attire as there is limited shopping available nearby. All these requirements will be provided in our employee handbook once you have been hired. The hotel is pleased to provide a weekly shuttle service for our employees to the nearest town, Pincher Creek, where shopping and banking is available.
