Sports Information Officer
The Department of Athletics at CBU invites applications from CBU students for Sports Information Officer.
Qualified candidates should send the following documents to Shaun Ranni, Coordinator of Varsity Athletics & Recreation, Department of Athletics:
- a letter of application;
- a resume; and
- complete contact information of three references
Reporting to the Varsity Athletics & Recreation Coordinator, ideal candidates will have an interest in varsity sports at CBU and be flexible in their work hours to accommodate weekend and evening events. Strong writing skills and social media operational knowledge would be an asset. The Sports Information Officer performs a variety of communications tasks related to CAPERS Varsity Sports. This includes writing game previews, post-game stories, and athlete profiles.
- Write game previews
- Collect and use player Bio’s
- Use statistics for analysis and opinion
- Write post-game recaps
- Gather player and coach post-game quotes
- Provide in game social media posts
- Other duties as assigned
