Reporting To: General Manager

Purpose: The CBU Students’ Union is currently seeking individuals to fill the positions Bartenders/Wait Staff. These positions are to ensure proper and responsible operations in the Pit Lounge during posted working hours.


  • Must be a member of the CBU Students’ Union as outlined in Bylaw 1.01 and registered CBU student prior to September 30, 2016
  • Must be 19 years of age prior to August 31, 2016
  • Clear Police Background check
  • Excellent communication/customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with handling cash
  • Bartender license recommended, but not required
  • Bartending experience is an asset, but not required
  • Willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR training


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Serve alcohol responsibly to patrons, recognizing when to stop serving intoxicated patrons
  • Mix, prepare, and pour beverages
  • Check photo government ID before serving alcoholic beverages
  • Wash glassware, utensils, and other containers after each use
  • Strong customer service
  • Cashier duties- collect payment and process transactions
  • Light cleaning duties
  • Receive shipments, notify General Manager when low on inventory
  • Check inventory of liquor before and after each shift
  • Count starting cash and prepare deposits at end of shift
  • Other duties assigned by the General Manager
