The Boardmore Theatre Closes Its 45th Season with a Classic and Enchanting Tale

The curtain will rise for one last time on the 45th Season of plays as The Boardmore Playhouse presents C.S Lewis’ The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe . The classic production is set for April 30 and May 1, 2016, with show times at 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.

Published in 1950 as the first and best-known of the seven novels that make up The Chronicles of Narnia, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe enchants audiences time and time again.

“Children’s theatre has a magical quality that brings to life the characters and stories of those wonderful books filled with adventure and happily ever after endings,” says Brian Gallivan, Director. “This specific production speaks to the magic of our imaginations. Perhaps that is why we find it so satisfying.”

This dramatization of C.S. Lewis’ classic, set in the land of Narnia, faithfully recreates the magic and mystery of Aslan, the great lion, his struggle with the White Witch, and the adventures of four children who inadvertently wander from an old wardrobe into the exciting, never-to-be-forgotten Narnia. This story of love, faith, courage and giving, with its triumph of good over evil, is a true celebration of life.

Show tickets are available at the CBU Playhouse Box Office, Monday to Friday from 1-5 p.m. and one hour before show time. The box office will open one week prior to performance and during the week of the production. Tickets are $15 general; $10 students and seniors; and $8 CBU students.
